It has high operating efficiency, low local resistance, and saves civil engineering investment, and has significant energy-saving effects, which are widely used Its operating characteristics include low pressure head, high flow rate, and low speed.


In order to compensate for the pressure loss of flue gas in the desulfurization device, an additional boost fan or an expanded induced draft fan is required for the desulfurization fan, also known as a boost fan (BF). It is the main equipment used to overcome the flue gas resistance of FGD (flue gas desulfurization) devices, introduce the raw flue gas into the desulfurization system, and stabilize the outlet pressure of the boiler induced draft fan. In the case of installing desulfurization devices, the boiler's supply and induced draft fans cannot overcome the flue gas resistance of FGD, so when installing FGD devices on the boiler, a booster fan (BF) must be installed. The selection, layout, and structural type of desulfurization fans have a significant impact on meeting environmental requirements, reducing the cost of desulfurization projects, and optimizing desulfurization system solutions. They are important equipment for ensuring the operational performance and reliability of desulfurization systems. Therefore, it has been widely used in supporting flue gas desulfurization devices such as DLWS, SDA, LIFAC, etc.

Additional booster fans can be installed in front or behind the desulfurization device

The medium conveyed by the fan installed in front of the desulfurization device is untreated flue gas, which has little corrosive effect;

The medium of the fan installed behind the desulfurization system is the flue gas treated by the desulfurization system. At this time, the flue gas temperature has dropped to near zero, and the acidic substances (mainly chloride ions) contained in the flue gas have a strong corrosive effect on the fan. The corrosion strength is closely related to the quality and frequency of washing water in the desulfurization system, as well as the flue gas temperature when entering the fan.
